What can be done to enhance a ‘run of the mill’ find anywhere detached suburban bungalow?

My clients thought long and hard considering enlargement of their very attractive and sublimely situated private bungalow secluded in its own setting by private drive access.

But with deeply sloping garden towards the rear elevation Solution?... cut away the bank, build a terrace retaining wall with approved drainage system and thereby enable provision for extended conservatory, kitchen and en-suite shower room facility and lovely stone paved terrace and walling!
